Theta Eta Chapter at Western University Sisters of Alpha Phi are leaders, scholars, contributors and lifetime members of a sisterhood that values these traits. Alpha Phi was founded at Syracuse University in New York in 1872, and opened a chapter at Western University in 1991. The objectives of their Fraternity are the promotion of growth in character; unity of feeling, sisterly affection, and social communion among their members
Philanthropy
The Alpha Phi Foundation is the philanthropic partner of Alpha Phi chapters internationally! The Foundation proudly supports efforts to research and help prevent Women’s Heart Health, as a leading cause of death among women in North America. The Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi are also so proud to host community service events benefitting local London organizations, with whom we plan to work with further this year! Alpha Phi proudly hosts several successful philanthropy events each year, including the much loved Mr Greek pageant, Hoops for Hearts, Heart Health Week, and Red Dress Gala! Additionally, Theta Eta hosts community service events benefitting local London organizations and Alpha-tines which is blind date brunch philanthropy event.
In 1922 one of Alpha Phi’s Founders gave her engagement ring to the Fraternity, starting the Martha Foote Crow Student Loan Fund. 100 years later in 2022 and the Alpha Phi Foundation has now awarded over $430,000 in scholarships, and raised over $43 million through our Leading with Heart Campaign.
